What has changed in Macropass?

This page lists every Macropass release as a dated list, one sentence per change, naming the feature and what it does for you. It mirrors the App Store and Google Play release notes. Macropass is an AI macro tracker made by Geometry, at macropass.app; the entries below start from the 1.0 launch.

Updated September 2026

Macropass 1.0

The launch release, on iPhone and Android. Everything described on this site ships in 1.0.

Logging

  • Type a description, hold to talk, or snap a photo; each returns the Macropass draft with items, assumptions and a calorie band.
  • Voice logging shows the transcript for review before estimating.
  • One-sentence corrections re-estimate the draft before it counts; Auto mode logs instantly for people who prefer it.
  • Repeat any previous meal in one tap.
  • Up to 12 AI estimates per day and 120 per month (50 during the trial).

Diary and goals

  • Six values per meal and per day: calories, protein, carbs and fat as targets, fiber as a minimum, sugar as a maximum.
  • The calorie bar and macro strip update the moment a meal is added; mark a day done when you are finished; no streaks.
  • Different calorie and macro targets for training days and rest days, with the weekly plan visible.
  • Weigh-ins, the weight trend, and a weight program.
  • Optional Apple Health sync, off by default, writing meals and weigh-ins and reading body weight only.

Assistants

  • Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any custom MCP client over OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and log meals and weigh-ins from the chat.
  • Nine external tools: log, read today, list, update, delete and search meals; log, read and delete weigh-ins.

Account and data

  • 14-day free trial, then Macropass Pro monthly or annual; no free tier, no ads.
  • One-tap export; account and synced-data deletion from Privacy & Data; location metadata stripped from meal photos before upload.
  • English and Italian.

How often is Macropass updated?

Releases ship when a change is ready. Each one is listed here and in the store release notes with the same wording.

Where do I report a bug?

Write to support@macropass.app with your device and what you saw. Fixes are listed here by the feature they affect, never as "bug fixes".

Will the MCP tool list change?

If it does, the change is listed here and the tools reference at macropass.app/claude-chatgpt/tools is regenerated in the same release.

Just tell it what you ate.

Describe a meal, check the Macropass draft, confirm. Your day updates the moment it lands.
