What are the Macropass plans?
One subscription, Macropass Pro, on two billing periods. Both include the same app and the same 14-day free trial. The annual plan is about 58% cheaper than twelve monthly payments.
| Plan | Price | Billing | Free trial | Total per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Macropass Pro monthly | $9.99 per month | Monthly, auto-renews | 14 days | About $119.88 if kept all year |
| Macropass Pro annual | $49.99 per year (about $4.17 per month) | Yearly, auto-renews | 14 days | $49.99 |
What is included in Macropass Pro?
Everything. The subscription unlocks the whole app. In-app AI estimation and logging from a connected assistant are both included; connected assistants use their own model and cost nothing extra. That covers logging by typing, talking or photo, the Macropass draft with assumptions and calorie band, the diary and trends, different macro targets for training days and rest days, weigh-ins and the weight program, optional Apple Health sync, one-tap export, and the Claude, ChatGPT and custom MCP connection.
The AI allowance is up to 12 AI estimates per day and 120 per month (50 during the trial). Saved-meal reuse and manual logging always remain available.
Is there a free version of Macropass?
No. Macropass has no free tier and no ad-supported tier, by design. The 14-day free trial is the free version: the complete app, for two weeks, so you can log real meals and decide. Macropass is paid so it never needs ads, never needs to sell data, and never needs streak mechanics to keep you opening it. If you want a free tracker with a database, choose MyFitnessPal, Cronometer or Yazio; each has a free tier with ads.
What happens when the trial ends?
The plan you chose at the start of the trial begins billing through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown on the purchase screen, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Your diary is kept. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the trial ends, then the app locks; you can export your data at any time and resubscribe later to the same account.
How do I cancel Macropass?
Cancel in your store's subscription settings, not inside Macropass. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Macropass, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play, profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Macropass, Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Do connected assistants cost extra?
No. Connecting Claude, ChatGPT, or any custom MCP client is part of Macropass Pro, and a connected assistant estimates with its own model, so its meals do not use your Macropass AI allowance. You do need your own assistant account; Macropass does not include a ChatGPT or Claude subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds follow their policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play's order history. Macropass cannot issue refunds directly. If something is wrong with the app, write to support@macropass.app first and we will help.
